FRP coating to acid tanks
The Co. had undertaken a turn key project of a Powder Coating Plant for corrosion, marine resistant and FRP treatment of their nine M.S. tanks. The project was completed within stipulated time frame with the following scope of work:
1.Grinding of all tanks to remove surface layer & to prepare the tanks for coating.
2.Application of epoxy primer coat to all tanks on all side i.e. outside as well as inside.
3) Application of marine resistant coating of minimum 300 micron on all tanks from out side. (Two coats of 150 microns each)
4) Application of minimum 300 micron chemical resistant coat on 6 no of tanks from inside. (Two coats of 150 microns each)
5) Application of minimum 3000 (three thousand) micron of highly corrosion resistant glass fibre reinforced coating on 3 tanks from inside.(this coating is of special poxy having dwell property ie. resistant to 25% phosphoric acid as well as to basic chemical of Ph- 12).
