Sunsheetal application on roof

Sunsheetal heat repellent paint was applied on the Tin sheet roofs of Anjanta Rest House of PWD, Jalgaon. The Executive Engineer, PWD, Jalgaon had observed that the temperature inside the rooms was dropped by 4⁰C. The drop in temperature can be up to 10⁰C during the maximum temperature of the day.

Sun-Sheetal is a pure acrylic weather resistant and heat repellant paint. The heat repellency is by virtue of the high emissivity of its ingredients. This property as the heat increases, the emissivity of coated film increases. This results in higher re-radiation which keeps the walls cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Some of the properties of Sun-Sheetal paint are:

• Repels heat energy and controls heat transfer.

• Its coating acts as a protective barrier that shields the surface from heat and water.

• Its film does not support growth of fungus and algae.

• Does not crack in wide temperature fluctuation.

• Can be cleaned with soap and water.
